After 4 long and adventurous years with The Black Expat I have decided to step down from my roles as Business Operations Manager and featured writer.
As my education continues to grow and expand, I have taken on different and unique opportunities that have allowed less time for doing the work I so enjoyed with TBE.
I would be deeply remiss if I did not thank Amanda Bates for taking a shot on an inexperienced writer who moved to Barbados to continue caring for her mom. Her mentorship, friendship, and colleagueship have challenged what I thought I was capable of and encouraged what I hoped I could be.
Thank you to all of my former teammates and everyone who allowed me to peek inside their lives and share their stories. Your patience, kindness, and openness made this an experience I will cherish and appreciate for a very long.
I will continue sharing stories on occasion as I come across amazing Black folx doing dope things across the diaspora and the intersections of global mobility and black identity.
You will still see me around the TBE Hub and in print on the main site. If you haven’t explored all that The Black Expat has to offer, then you need to hop on it, lest you be left out. Some amazing things are coming down the pipeline!
